FIREFLY ROOFTOP CONCERT SERIES

The Firefly Rooftop Concert Series is a concept we dreamed about for some time. We were inspired by The Beatles 1969 rooftop performance atop the Apple building and started searching for the perfect locale here in Oklahoma City. We wanted it to be a place where bands could perform in a more intimate setting with the sky/skyline as the backdrop. Several locations were considered, but the properties could not see our vision. It was during a casual conversation with Steve Mason that he suggested the rooftop of the 1015 N Broadway building in Automobile Alley. After a site visit, it was set!
Our company, Revolve Productions, is focused on trying to bring unique, one off, out-of-the-box events to Oklahoma City and when this opportunity presented itself, we were elated. Next, what to call it? One of the things we enjoy is coming up with names for our events. We want it to set the tone and tell people what it’s about by the title alone. The concerts would be about summer, music, the outdoors, patio lights and a chill vibe. To us, those things culminated into one feeling. The feeling you had as a kid when you stayed outside on a summer night with the sound of your radio playing…so late that the fireflies were out. And so, it was named… the Firefly Rooftop Concert Series.
We plan to feature 3 performances during each concert with different genres. We want the experience to be very affordable so ticket prices are set at $5. The rooftop has limited seating, so getting your tickets early is highly suggested as it will sell out fast. We have partnered with Waters Edge Winery, who will be on hand selling wine and wine ice cream. Insomnia Cookies will be providing free cookies and we are working on securing a local craft brewery for beer sales. In addition, sponsorships from Automobile Alley and OKC Firefighters Local 157 have helped make this possible.
Producing another event on Automobile Alley is really exciting for us! We love the support we get from the district and it’s a great place to have dinner before the concert with so many local restaurant options. It really is the perfect setting for Firefly.
